Joe Biden79 and Jill Biden71 years old, two of the latest politicians to be honored Queen Elizabeth II. The US president and first lady are photographed standing on the VIP balcony as they gaze down into the late evening Kingcoffin in Westminster Hall on Sunday. The Commander-in-Chief placed his hand over his heart and saluted briefly before continuing through the historic hall.
Joe wore a classic black and white suit and tie during the visit while Jill wore a silky black suit. They both looked moody during their time sitting around the coffin and then on to Lancaster House, where they signed a condolence book for the Queen’s family. Joe also spoke to reporters and said he thought the queen had “dignity” during her 70 years of service and reminded him of his biological mother.
“For all British people, all UK people, our hearts go out to you so lucky to have her. [The Queen] in 70 years, we’ve all been like that. The world is better for her, we all are,” Joe said, before drawing parallels with his mother. “The way she touches when she leans over, the way she has that look, ‘Are you okay? Anything I can do for you? What do you need?’.”
“I talk about my mother and father, [they] think that everyone, no matter who they are, no matter where they are stationed, no matter where they come from, deserves to be treated fairly,” he continued. “And that’s exactly what she [Her Majesty] communication, just the way she walks her staff, just the way she acts. And I think what she considers a feeling, maybe above all, is the concept of service. “
“Our hearts are without you and you’ve been lucky to have her for 70 years.”

“We all owe something, there is something within our power that can make everything, not just the world, but your neighborhood better, your household better. better, your workplace is better,” he added. “And that’s what she talked to me about and it was an honor to meet her.”
In addition to their visits at Westminster Hall and Lancaster House, Joe and Jill are expected to participate King Charles III and other world leaders and working royals at the reception at Buckingham Palace on Sunday night. It was a reception like the Queen’s grandson, Prince Harryand his wife Meghan Markle, were not invited due to the fact that they no longer work in the royal family. The Queen will then rest in peace after her state funeral in Monday.
