Jockeys and Jeans Stallion Report the sale season collected in total in 2022
The seventh annual breeding season sale–ending January 25 to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Foundation–has raised $112,050 versus $72,500 in 2022. marked an increase in sales during both the Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse seasons with a more pronounced increase in the Quarter Horse Breeding season, accounting for $71,500 in total proceeds.
The seasons are donated by breeders in six states, including some of the top farms in Central Kentucky. To date, the sale has raised more than $600,000 for PDJF.
Jockeys and Jeans President Barry Pearl said: “Season sponsors as well as buyers in both racing industries have upped their game this year to help veteran racehorses who have paid tribute. devoted a large part of our lives to this sport and we thank all of them.”
Jockeys and Jeans, founded in late 2014 by five former jockeys, has raised more than $2.7 million for the PDJF through an annual fundraising event and stallion season sale.
