Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher discuss Nunez .’s red card

Sky Sports’ Gary Neville on Monday Night Football:

“It’s a crazy moment. It’s a proper ass, Andersen will feel it.

“We don’t know why he did it. I’ve done two or three things like this in my career. We don’t know why we reacted. We don’t know. We walked out. outside and thinking, ‘what did I just do’ – to be honest, I kicked a ball at an Everton fan and did the same thing against Steve McManaman. It was that red mist. It comes to you.

“When you’re kicked off the pitch like that, it’s the loneliest place in the world. You can have a man dressed up with you but it’s horrible. You’re in that dressing room and the your teammates are out on the field, you’ve left them and you feel bad.

“You don’t have to say too much to a player who’s been sent off because it’s terrible anyway and they have to be held accountable. I’m sure he went around the dressing room apologizing. The other player in there will pick him up because it’s a good dressing room.”
