J&K: Three IEDs recovered on arrested terrorist Zakir’s disclosure | Jammu News
JAMMU: Police on Saturday recovered three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and multiple sticky bombs as revealed by a recently arrested terrorist in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Confirming the recall, additional police superintendent (ADGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh said, “Kathua Police recovered three IEDs and three stick bombs upon revealing the arrested JeM terrorist leader Zakir Hussain Bhat.”
On October 2, JeM terrorist identified as Zakir Hussain Bhat alias Bhat Umar Farooq, son of Ali Mohd, a resident living near Govt Gandour Primary School, Malad, Billawar in Kathua district was arrested with specific information.
According to the police, the arrested terrorist had multiple contacts with Jaish terrorists operating from Pakistan through various social networking apps and received a shipment of IEDs and Indian currency worth Rs 20,000. He is also planning terrorist activities in the Jammu region.
ADGP Jammu Zone added that further investigation into the incident is underway.
