Jim Irsay attacks Carson Wentz, praises Matt Ryan

Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay is not shy about his feelings about former midfielder Carson Wentz.

After missing out on the knockout stages last year, the Colts decided to move from Wentz after just one season, opting instead to buy the former Atlanta Falcons defender. Matt Ryan to lead the group.

Even with Wentz now the Commander of Washington, and the 2022 season just a few weeks away, Irsay still can’t help but bring out his former QB this week.

Wentz started all 17 games last season for the Colts, leading the team to a 9-8 record, but only ended up missing a playoff spot. After the season, reports emerged that the Colts “became frustrated” with Wentz even before the 2021 campaign began.

After acquiring Ryan this season, Irsay speak he is “extremely grateful to the football gods” for also throwing the ball at Wentz.

“It’s just, for us, it’s just something that we have to move into the franchise – that’s very obvious,” Irsay said.

None of Wentz’s former teammates mentioned his name, but they were clearly happy that Ryan was at the forefront of the conversation.

Backfield teammates Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines have nothing but praise for Ryan. Taylor speak“it’s great” to have Ryan in Indianapolis, while Hines more“He doesn’t miss layups.”
