Jim Harbaugh planning to take the “head coach” job?

Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is scheduled for second interview with the Minnesota Vikings Later next week.

But it looks like the interview to be the “next head coach” is just a mere formality. According to Chris Balas of TheWolverine.com, Harbaugh plans to re-sign instead recently fired Mike Zimmer in Minnesota.

“Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh will be traveling to Minnesota for an interview Wednesday, but multiple sources say it’s a formality. Harbaugh went there intending to sign a deal to become the head coach of NFL Vikings,” read report.

Per Balas, Harbaugh was not at Schembechler Hall in Ann Arbor on Tuesday. But he did say some “goodbyes” and “thank yous” on Monday. Harbaugh has yet to mention the Wolverine football program or its players as of the publication of this article.

Regardless, someone with a Wolverines program installed like Balas wouldn’t run with this report if it wasn’t legit.
