Jill Biden ends quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19
Jill Biden is no longer isolated for COVID-19 after two consecutive negative tests, her office announced Sunday.
After being isolated in South Carolina for five days following a family vacation to Kiawah Island last week, the first lady will travel to Delaware later in the day to reunite with President Joe Biden.
Guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) state that five days after the initial positive test, an individual with no symptoms can end up in isolation.

Jill’s office revealed on Monday that she tested positive after experiencing some mild symptoms last Sunday night – after riding a bike with her husband and niece Finnegan Biden on Kiawah Island beach. and went shopping with daughter-in-law Melissa Cohen later that day.
Despite close contacts, President Biden did not test positive for COVID and left South Carolina on Monday to return to the White House to sign the Inflation Reduction Act into law.
Then, on Monday night, Biden left for Delaware. Jill will join him there on Sunday.
Biden, nephew Beau Biden, son Hunter Biden and daughter-in-law Melissa Cohen returned to Washington, DC on Monday, August 16, 2022 without Jill after she tested positive for COVID-19 and had to stay in South Carolina for quarantine
