Jharkhand Congress’s Defence As Its 3 Legislators Detained With “Huge Cash” In Bengal

'BJP's Lotus campaign exposed': Parliament on their Jharkhand legislators caught in cash in Bengal

According to police, the SUV was with a ‘Jamtara MLA’ sign, in which the MLA was traveling in cash.

Delhi / Kolkata:

After three Parliament legislators from Jharkhand were detained in Bengal with “a large amount” of cash in their cars, the party sought to align with the BJP, saying the three leaders had been given money to causing the state government to collapse. However, the BJP said the money was evidence of corruption in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Parliamentary coalition government.

There is still no response from the MLA – Irfan Ansari from Jamtara, Rajesh Kachhap from Khijri, and Naman Bixal Kongari from Kolebira – who are being questioned by Howrah Rural police about the origin of the money. To know the exact amountOfficials said note counters would have to be used.

“The essence of the BJP is to try to destabilize any government that is not theirs. Bandhu Tirkey, Working Chairman of the Jharkhand Parliament, alleged to have done the same against the government of CM Hemant Soren, “The only reason the MLA was funded is to bring down the government.”

In the 82-member parliament, the JMM (30) and the National Assembly (17) have 47 members – just above the majority – in addition to support from several other members. BJP is the main opposition with 25 members, according to Vidhan Sabha website.

The leader of the Jharkhand Parliament, Bandhu Tirkey, is accused of being a BJP conspiracy.

Jairam Ramesh, parliament’s national communications officer tweeted: “BJP’s ‘Lotus’ campaign in Jharkhand on display tonight in Howrah.”

“The ‘Hum Do’ game plan in Delhi is to do in Jharkhand what they did in Maharashtra by installing the ED duo,” he wrote. The government in Maharashtra was recently changed after a Shiv Sena rebel group – backed by the BJP – Uddhav Thackeray was deposed. Congress and the NCP were partners in the ousted government.

However, Jharkhand BJP Secretary General Aditya Sahu said the money was proof of the corruption of the JMM Parliament. “Since they came to power, corruption has increased. They use public money for other purposes,” he told ANI news agency.

Dilip Ghosh, a senior BJP leader from Bengal, linked Howrah’s actions to the “anti-corruption investigation” in Jharkhand.

Even before the parties in Jharkhand reacted, Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Parliament tweeted about “rumours about the horse trade and possible overthrow of the Jharkhand government”. Several leaders from Mamata Banerjee’s government – recently burned by piles of cash linked to arrested party leader Partha Chatterjee job scam – also asked the Executive Director (ED), whether to take action against non-Trinamool.

Trinamool minister and boss Mamata Banerjee recently accused the BJP of trying to force a change of government in Jharkhand following the recent change in Maharashtra. The BJP did not specifically react to that.

But in his tweet today, Dilip Ghosh seems to dismiss the accusations about ED and Jharkhand, as he writes: “Corruption parties like Congress, Trinamool are trying to get away with crime by going against the regulatory authorities check.”
