Jermell Charlo wants the undisputed Canelo Alvarez

Via Adam Baskin: Today, the injured Jermell Charlo got out of the furniture, called Canelo Alvarez and said he wanted promoter Eddie Hearn to stage a fight.

Canelo is not pampering Jermell Charlo, the power hunter who is looking for payday because he has a more serious fight ahead of him in his rematch with WBA lightweight boxer Dmitry Bivol on September 16.

Besides, the last thing Canelo needed was to register against Jermell and then repeatedly postponed due to his injury problems.

The sense of enjoyment that Jermell has is limitless. That’s the problem with these warriors. They don’t want to work for everything and are lazy to take the chance to fall into their arms.

If Jermell is serious about fighting Canelo, he will increase to 168 and win by challenge run through these killers:

  • David Morrell Jr.
  • David Benavidez
  • Diego Pacheco
  • cabbage plant

If Jermell Charlo had anything left of him after making his way through those killer ranks, he’d be fine with Canelo.

Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) didn’t give any specifics on which weight class his match at Canelo will be in as he’s at 154th. Jermell hasn’t competed since. May 2022, because he is convalescing. The broken left hand is recovering at an extremely slow rate. His

WBO Mandatory Tim Tszyu has been waiting for his mandatory title against Charlo for a long time, and no one knows when or if that fight will happen.

“Why don’t they make Canelo undisputed. That could be a big thing in boxing. Tag Eddie Hearn. Undisputed versus undisputed,” said Jermell Charlo above social media about wanting to fight Canelo Alvarez. “I will gain some weight.

“Let me show you what it is. Why don’t you do Canelo vs. Charlo? Someone put it together. Little Charlo will fight anyone. I never shied away from smoke.

“That bastard couldn’t beat me in his final performance,” Jermell said, referring to Canelo’s lackluster win over John Ryder last weekend. “I want to show you that I still exist. Eddie Hearn, get that Charlo together.

“I have finished everything. When [left] right hand, I’ll knock him down and then take out the other mother,” Charlo said.

Charlo broke his arm last year, and it STILL hasn’t healed in six months. He was supposed to defend against WBO mandatory Tim Tszyu last January but couldn’t because of a hand injury.

We are here in May and Charlo’s hand is still not working. Adam Baskin doesn’t know what Book of Guinness World Records is for a slowly recovering hand, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Charlo were on this list.

Even if Canelo (59-2-2, 39 KOs) is ready to fight the inactive Jermell, he won’t drop to 154 or 160 to fight him. For his part, Jermell probably won’t want to rise to 168th to take on Canelo in his weight class for the undisputed title.
