Jennifer Lopez Talks About Ben Affleck & PTSD’s Wedding After The First Failed – Hollywood Life
Jennifer Lopez didn’t forget the fact that her first wedding Ben Affleck was canceled just a few days earlier in 2003. In fact, that’s why two run away in Las Vegas this time. Jennifer explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “It’s very stressful. I don’t know if you guys know this, but 20 years ago we were going to get married and everything fell apart at that point. So this time I’m totally still a bit PTSD.
Jen explained that she and Ben had a wedding planning meeting in July and it was so stressful for her that Ben was the one to propose the Vegas wedding. When he brought up the idea of going to Vegas that night, Jen was skeptical, as she had a rehearsal that day. “He said, ‘Let’s go to rehearsal, when you come back, I’ll arrange everything,’” the singer/actress continued. “Three of them our kids was at the camp and the two were with us, and he said, ‘They’ll be our witnesses, come on, we’ll do it tonight.’ And we did. It’s great. It was the best night ever.”
In the end, Jen and Ben held their planned wedding in Georgia attended by family and friends. During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel questioned why he wasn’t one of the lucky friends to receive the invite, and Jen had to admit that she didn’t know. “Aren’t you and Ben good friends?” she wondered. Luckily, all was well, and Jimmy gave Jen his gift on the show: Dunkin’ Donuts-themed cups for Dunkin Ben’s Lover!
Jennifer joined Kimmel’s show to advertisement for her upcoming movie, Unexpected weddingthat she plays with Josh Duhamel. After filming the talk show, she also attended the premiere of the movie. Ben was by her side on the big night.
