Jennifer Lawrence has talked about her new role in life, after becoming the mother of her son earlier this year.
In a new interview with the October issue of Vogue, the actress talks about motherhood and confirming the sex of her first child for the first time.
Saying she’s fallen in love with parenting, the Silver Linings Playbook star admits it’s ‘scary’ to talk about being a mom after friends warn she might not ‘fall in love right away’ ‘, but she admits that as soon as she gave birth, it felt like ‘one day in my life’.

Jennifer and her three-year-old husband Cooke Maroney, 38, welcomed a baby boy in the spring but have so far not confirmed the gender or spoken out about becoming parents.
She admitted to Vogue ‘it’s scary talking about motherhood. Just because it’s so different for everyone. If I said, That was great in the first place, some people would think, At first, that wasn’t great for me, and feel bad. ‘

‘Think about what’s happening to my body. And I had a wonderful pregnancy. I had a very lucky pregnancy. But every second of my life is different. And sometimes it happens to me: What if I’m forced to do this? ‘
Jennifer also wanted to discuss with Vogue her concerns about raising her son in America, and speak out about gun violence in schools.
‘I am raising a boy who is going to school one day. Firearms are the leading cause of death for children in the United States. And people are still voting for politicians who get money from the NRA,’ she said.
‘It blew my mind. I mean what if Sandy Hook doesn’t change anything? We as a nation just went, Okay! We are allowing our children to sacrifice their lives for the Second Amendment that was written over 200 years ago. ‘
