Jehan Daruvala races for MP Motorsport in the 2023 Formula 2 season



This will be Daruvala’s fourth Formula 2 campaign. The Indian will also continue his duties as Mahindra Racing’s Formula E substitute.

Jehan Daruvala will continue racing in Formula 2 this year and has signed defending champion MP Motorsport for the upcoming season. This will be his fourth year playing in F2, which is one place below F1 in the single-seat ladder.

MP Motorsport signs Jehan Daruvala

Daruvala has won at least one race in every F2 season since he made his debut in 2020, picking up four wins and 15 podium finishes all the way. After two seasons with Carlin, he switched to Prema Racing last year and finished seventh season overall. It may not have been the outcome the 24-year-old – who had his eye on the title – had hoped for, but he chose a victory at Monza and appeared on the podium eight times. He will now join MP Motorsport, who have won both the team and driver’s championship in 2022. Daruvala’s move to the Dutch team has been rumored for a long time since he took the test. post-season inspection with them last November. He was the second fastest in the morning of Day 2 in Abu Dhabi.

Daruvala combines F2 campaign with Formula E sub-role

Daruvala will wear two hats this year. Along with his F2 campaign, he will also act as the Mahindra Racing’s reserve racer for the 2023 Formula E season.

As part of his Formula E reserve role, he will conduct simulation work with Mahindra engineers and will also be on standby should Lucas di Grassi or Oliver Rowland be unable to race for any reason. what reason.

Pre-season testing for F2 will take place on February 14-16 in Bahrain.
