The Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with three different engine options in the global market.
Jeep India is getting ready to launch the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee in the country on November 17. This is the image representing the latest generation of the premium SUV. The Jeep Grand Cherokee made its global debut last year and has been in beta testing in India for some time now. The SUV is the American automaker’s fourth model here and will be built in India. In addition, this makes India the only region outside of North America to produce 4 Jeep SUVs.

Exterior
The premium SUV arrives with a design identical to other off-road vehicles in the automaker’s lineup. The Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a vertical front fascia with a seven-slat grille flanked by slender LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The bumper comes with LED fog lights, adding style to the SUV. Other design elements include stylish alloy wheels, sharp character lines, LED taillights, etc.
Furniture and features
Stepping inside the SUV’s cabin, the biggest attraction is the large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Having a purely digital instrument cluster is fine. However, Jeep India has yet to reveal details about the features and other design elements included in the new Indian Grand Cherokee. Expect it to bring a panoramic sunroof and a passenger display on the dashboard. It will likely be available in a five-seat configuration.
Powertrain
The international-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in three different engine options. These include the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 petrol engine, which is capable of producing 294 hp and 348 Nm of torque. Other power plants include a large 5.7-liter V8 capable of producing 357 hp and 528 Nm of torque. There’s also a smaller 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with plug-in hybrid technology. This engine produces 375 hp and 637 Nm of torque.
Jeep India may bring a small turbocharged petrol engine to India. However, it’s too early to speculate on that, as the automaker remains tight-lipped about the upcoming model’s powertrain specs. Other mechanical details of the international version of the SUV include a Quadra air suspension, a Quadra-Drive II active shift box with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and a bar break system. shake.
