Jarrell Miller knocks out and stops Lucas Browne at Dubai Slugfest

Jarrell Miller and Lucas Browne made a real slobber-knocker in Dubai, with Miller taking the lead after injury time in the sixth inning.
Much of it was made from the weight of both men – famous for failing PED tests in the past – before the competition. They gave a total of over 600 lb, with Miller claiming 333 of them.
No wonder the case turned heavy and cumbersome.
Miller was caught cleaner than his team would have liked, clearly not interested in moving his head. However, his shots are the ones that deal damage to Browne, whose face is bloody from the second shot on.
The back-and-forth fights continued as the boxers preferred the internal attack with short hooks and upper hooks. Though both were successful, Miller looked never injured, while Browne’s guard dwindled as the innings continued.

In the sixth inning, Miller landed on all fours with his right hand without a reaction and the 43-year-old Australian fell onto the ropes and onto the tarp. When the referee asked him if he wanted to continue, he said yes with a sigh.
Miller followed with a barrage of unreturned punches that were stopped when they charged.

That was the definition of slugfest, and Miller moved to 26-0-1 while Browne is now facing a fourth stoppage-time loss in 35 games of his career.
‘Big Baby’s dream of participating in a world title match is still alive, although it is worth remembering that he burned several bridges with promoters and broadcasters after successive bans for doping.
Floyd Mayweather popped up in the comment box and probably summed it up best – to face top-level competition, he had to move his head and drop some weight.
As for Browne, he recently said that he fought in Dubai for British boxing control will not sanction a match against him due to his age. Now he will probably consider the decision more clearly after receiving the penalty because of the penalty.
Elsewhere on the card, Jono Carroll faces Miguel Marriaga. The Columbians wounded the Englishman a second time and slit his left eye, but the storm weathered fine.
Carroll took over and although Marriaga proved dangerous throughout the duration of his significant shots, the Irishman known as ‘King Kong’ was busier and controlled the distance well. England won by unanimous decision with the scores 98-92, 100-90 and 99-91.
