Jared Anderson chooses Tyson Fury over Oleksandr Usyk

Via Brian Webber: Jared Anderson believes Tyson Fury will beat Oleksandr Usyk if that fight happens. Anderson, who cheered for Fury in preparation for his three-part bout with Deontay Wilder, said it was “a no-brainer” for him to beat IBF, WBA & WBO heavyweight champion Usyk.

Anderson questions whether Fury vs Usyk is a fight everyone wants to see because the outcome is so obvious.

Of course, Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) was largely accounted for by boxing fans before his first fight with Anthony Joshua last September, and he shocked the world when beat him.

Fury had issues with the cruiser Steve Cunningham earlier in his career. However, Anderson feels that Fury has gotten bigger and has improved a lot since that fight. As such, Usyk will not be able to trouble Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) like Cunningham did.

“There’s too much money on the table and too much for his pride for him to walk away now, knowing he can beat the guys everyone is questioning him about,” Jared Anderson talk to Fighthype about Tyson Fury.

“Sure,” Anderson said when asked if Fury vs. Is Usyk a case of a big man beating a small man. “I’m not sure it’s a fight that people really want to see. I feel it has no wisdom.

“Tyson wasn’t nearly the fighter he was at the time, and he’s matured a lot after that game. And on top of that, Usyk wasn’t near the age they were at the time,” Anderson said when informed that Fury had problems beating former heavy cruiser Steve Cunningham.

“He is [Usyk] up there as well as Tyson, and I think that’s what makes a huge difference.

“When I rushed in, I was intense. 100%, that’s what makes them competitive and keeps us going,” Anderson said when asked if his intense fighting style was what made his training sessions with Fury so to compete or not.

“I like to hit and not get hit. I can take more opportunities and risks [than Usyk], but that’s just me being a hungry warrior at the moment. He already has Olympic experience and doesn’t feel the need to hurt people. He can open the box and win and make it look easy.

“He has that luxury right now, and I am more like a hungry warrior now. That’s the difference,” Anderson said.
