The Racing Chemistry Laboratory, Japan (LRC) is currently the sixth IFHA Reference Laboratory to be fully appointed following the approval of the International Federation of Reference Laboratory Designation Committees ( IFHA) (RLAC). The LRC was temporarily appointed as the IFHA Reference Laboratory in July 2021 and its on-site review took place in June 2022.

“I would like to commend the Racing Chemistry Laboratory for their hard work, diligence and patience in becoming the IFHA Reference Laboratory,” said Chairman of the Reference Laboratory Designation Committee (RLAC) Andrew Harding said. “This app started before COVID-19 was born, and the LRC is very adept at responding to the challenges of this process caused by the pandemic. We congratulate them on becoming the sixth IFHA Reference Lab. “

Established in 1965, LRC joins Racing Analytical Services Limited (Australia); Laboratoire Des Hippiques courses (France); LGC Group, Sports & Specialized Analytical Services (UK); Jockey Club Hong Kong (Hong Kong); and the Kenneth L. Maddy Equatorial Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, University of California at Davis (USA) as the IFHA Reference Laboratory.

The President of the LRC, Dr. Toru Anzai, said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the IFHA RLAC for their unremitting efforts to support the LRC in the adoption of the Reference Laboratory. IFHA. The LRC’s successful appointment of the IFHA Reference Lab was mainly due to effective teamwork and professional expertise, most importantly, the tremendous support from the Japan Racing Association (JRA). After becoming the sixth IFHA Reference Lab, the LRC will certainly contribute more to the racing industry and work even more closely with IFHA and five other IFHA Reference Laboratories in the future. “
