According to Page SixFoxx opened up about the emergency in his Netflix special, ‘Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…’ The special was said to have released on Tuesday, December 10.
In a clip circulating on social media, Foxx told his audience that on April 11, 2023, he had a “severe headache.” At that time, he asked one of his friends for an Aspirin. However, before he could get it, he “went out”. In response, Foxx’s loved ones took him to see a doctor in Georgia. However, the doctor only gave him a cortisone injection.
Then his sister, Deidra Dixon, took him to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. It should be noted, Foxx was said to have been in the area to film a movie. There, a doctor informed her that Foxx had suffered a “brain bleed that led to a stroke.”
“We couldn’t find where it was coming from, but he was having a stroke. He may make a full recovery, but this will be the worst year of his life,” the doctor told Dixon.
Before ending the story, Foxx added: “That’s the way it is, Atlanta. You finally got the story. You saved my life.”

According to EVERYBODYFoxx explained that he “woke up” on May 4, 2023 and found himself in a wheelchair, believing the whole ordeal was a “terrible joke.”
