“It’s going to be brutal,” Canelo – Golovkin War says Eddie Hearn

Via Sean Jones: Eddie Hearn is predicting a “Absolutely brutal” fight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin tonight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Hearn expects a stronger, more energetic Golovkin (42-1-1.37 KOs) at 168 and will be more of a threat to beat undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo (57- 2-2, 39 KOs).

Canelo is about to suffer arguably the worst loss of his career at the hands of Dmitry Bivol earlier this year on May 7, and there are serious doubts whether he is still the same boxer he was four years ago. or not.

Alvarez’s passion for golf may be negatively affecting his career, and he can’t stand it now after being knocked out by Bivol.

We’ll see tonight if Golovkin stubbornly sticks to his usual fighting style of trading singles with Canelo for 12 rounds. Golovkin will have a hard time defeating Canelo when fighting with that approach, unfortunately, and he could be taken down.

“This will be an all-out war. Gennadiy Golovkin, in his eyes, gold in stone, torn to pieces weighing 168 pounds, looks great,” Eddie Hearn told DAZN Boxing Showtalking about how good 40-year-old Gennadiy Golovkin looked at Friday’s weigh-in.

“The last few games you’ll see a bit more cheekbones at 160. I tell you, this guy is ready for battle. And Canelo, you watched shadow boxing then. He’s ready to explode. This is epic.

Hearn said of Golovkin: “It was like 15, 16 years doing the championship at 160 pounds. “You saw that against Murata. Don’t forget that he was out for 600 days because of Murata. He had a couple of slow rounds, and then he beat the champion in his backyard.

Do not forget; this guy fought Canelo Alvarez for 24 rounds. It’s not like we’re watching a battle, and we’re like, ‘Oh, I wonder if this guy is good enough to compete with him?’

“Many people thought he won the first match, and the second match was also razor thin. This will be the same type of fight. Canelo Alvarez, from the first ring of the bell, will try to take out Gennadiy Golovkin.

“He can be reckless, he can be emotional, and if he was, Gennadiy Golovkin would be right in front of him, firing artillery at Canelo Alvarez. Honestly, going back, this is going to be absolutely brutal tomorrow,” Hearn said.
