Israeli defense company develops next-generation electronic attack group
Israeli high-tech defense company Rafael announced that it has completed the development of the latest generation of the Sky Shield of Electronic Attack (EA) family.
Sky Shield is an all-inclusive, multi-purpose EW system that provides jamming support and is used for escort, SEAD, and self-defense jamming missions.
Sky Shield can be tailored to specific customer requirements. It is highly reliable and does not require a crew member to operate. Sky Shield uses the most up-to-date EW methods and is based on Rafael’s vast experience in air and naval EW systems

As the company notes, the latest generation pod EA builds on proven state-of-the-art Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) technology and host electronic scanning array architecture. (AESA), and introduced the Gallium Nitride (GaN) emitter – enhancing its already formidable enemy suppression (SEAD) capabilities.
The EA pod is currently undergoing extensive flight testing on a 4.5-generation fighter for an undisclosed customer and will soon offer unprecedented capabilities, allowing penetration of the Defense System. no Integrated Anti-Access Area (A2/AD) of potential competitors.
