Israel hits militant sites in Gaza after rockets fired following deadly raid
Two rockets were fired around midnight (22:00 GMT Thursday) but were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. Air strikes soon followed, targeting what the IDF described as an “underground missile production site” in the heart of the Gaza Strip belonging to the Islamist militant group Hamas, which governs the territory.
