Is Russell Brand the New Joe Rogan?

Joe Rogan has taken the field against critics on his latest podcast. Looks can be deceiving.

The “Joe Rogan Experience” host called his efforts to cancel podcasts on Spotify a “political act.” He’s not wrong, according to him.

I still give my enemies lots of ammunition by repeatedly apologizing for his past “sin” and self-censoring dozens of his previous shows that featured controversial guests like Jordan Peterson. That’s exactly how you fuel the cultural fire in our waking times.

Bullies smell fear and weakness. This reporter wrote a book on the subject.

Rogan knew he was having a hard time, and all the hard talk in the world couldn’t ignore that fact. Could he have a company soon?

Comedian Brand russell rose to prominence as a fiery character in 2008’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” and later scored lead roles in “Arthur” and “Get Him to the Greek.” However, his mainstream film career has fizzled out, and he’s attracted more media attention because of his brief marriage to pop princess Katy Perry and socialist stunts.

It looks like the brand’s “taste of the month” moment has passed.

However, he continues to talk through his social media and podcast projects. In recent months, Brand seems to have appeared on multiple fronts.

He rejected the socialist rhetoric and approached his ideological “enemy”. Consider him sitting down with Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire (note: This reporter is a contributor to that site).

Brand agreed with Matthew McConaughey on why We should not blindly attack Trump supporters. That argument alone landed him in a rare company. What’s even? who was not “broken” by President Trump would never say such a thing.

Now, Brand is participating in Big Tech Censorship, Media Bias and pandemic stories. He sounds like a cross between Rogan and Glenn Beck, but he’s doing it with a wink and a grin.

Brand 2.0 is more comfortable with yourself and others. He opened his video podcast with a bright ray of sunlight aimed at his flock.

The herd of sheep says there are now 4.9 million “awakened souls” and growing.

Brand’s latest video has garnered nearly 600k views in less than 24 hours. It’s cultural power, and he’s doing it by moving away from traditional Left/Right labels. He has bigger goals in mind, like the mainstream media and corporations that support the current scene.

He’s hard to beat, ideologically speaking, but he’s giddy about accusations that he’s now “right-wing”.

“Would a rightist wear this?” he asks in his latest video, referring to his less conservative shirt. Yes, Brand has become a “happy warrior” in the Andrew Breitbart tradition.

So why do those eager to get rid of Rogan want Brand so much? The bold Brit is not a hunting fanatic like Rogan. Nor does he often exploit the glory of the pot. He is a recovering addict, even though he believes in legalizing drugs.

It’s simple. Here is an abbreviated list of his current goals.

  • Hypocrite
  • Media bias
  • Unnecessary pandemic restrictions
  • Corruption politicians

If there’s a culturally acceptable story, Brand wants us to question it. It was a healthy urge, but it was also what drew a big, delicious target on Rogan’s back.

Why not Brand?

He’s been growing in stature, right from the start. Conservative media sites are starting accept his whimsical suggestions. And that 4.9 million figure could grow even bigger before the year ends. CNN can’t compete with those figures. His 11 million Twitter followers are also not to be missed.

Like Rogan, Brand was unpredictable in his political leanings. Call him Left of Center, but not in any particular fashion. He’s also humorous by nature, which means he can appeal to a diverse crowd willing to consider his arguments.

Most of all? He wants us to think for ourselves, questioning the glaring news headlines on our smartphone screens and wondering why certain stories get more attention than stories. other.

That is how dangerous Rogan is to the Cancel Culture mob.

Like Rogan, Brand does not position himself as an expert in any given subject. He’s happy enough to question the status quo, to wonder how we can all adjust society for the better.

Conservatives won’t like all he has to say. Liberals may be retarded in some of his positions. His colorful past provides ammunition for his critics. He is clearly rich but favors extreme wealth distribution. He is clean and sober now but has dealt with drug addiction earlier in his life.

Who cares? He’s exciting, unpredictable and has found his voice after a long tumultuous career.

However, he’d better be ready for what could happen next. Rogan is still reeling from the attacks on his show, his character. Is the brand up for the challenge?
