Is LetsGetFr.ee the ultimate failure on wake?

LetsGetFr.ee provided The perfect nod to today’s awakened world.
The music festival claims a “radical movement designed for & by blacks, browns, Asians/Pacific Islanders, & LGBTQIA + fr.ee spirits & creators”.
Artists like Missy Elliott, Wizkid, Jhene Aiko, Audrey Nuna and El Alfa will stir up the progressive crowd towards white supremacy, patriarchy, etc.
Alas, the two-day event, scheduled to launch on August 19, is no longer available.
The team behind the event pulled the plug on this year’s premiere less than a month before the first note could be played.
Why?
The official explanation is almost comical.
“The reason is complex, but simple: The combination of the changing dynamics in our industry, the inflation we are all feeling, and the recently introduced safety regulations will force us to I have to dramatically change your experience to a -publish, unauthenticated version. “
Biden’s recession shut down what was billed as a “purposeful musical experience”.
The festival, the brainchild of Afropunk founder Matthew Morgan, Jocelyn Cooper and creative agency Anomaly, claims to end the music industry’s “fair gap”.
Obviously they will have to wait until next year to do that.
Except The Daily Beast doesn’t buy carnival excuses. News website Far Left, calling Cancel Culture “American as apple pie”” aggravated the event.
How a weekend of wearables and portable toilets is supposed to do it is unclear, as is the sudden cancellation of the festival now leaving hundreds of ticket holders scrambling for refunds. can hardly come mid-September.
The Daily Beast spoke to disgruntled ticket buyers and compared the fall of the event to the infamous Fyre Festival. That event, captured in not one but two standout documentaries, set the standard for incidents and fires during the festival.
LetsGetFr.ee might not be a second away, at least for now.
The site also notes that the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation failed to respond to their request for an expansion of the so-called Safety Regulations, which would hold back from closing the equity gap.
Frustrated ticket buyers resist the online festival and worry about getting refunds in time. They also complained that the Instagram account LetsGetFr.ee, with 13.7 thousand followers, closed comments after the cancellation.
LetsGetFre .. barely ignites the social network. The festival’s Twitter account has about 410 followersand the post announcing the cancellation doesn’t allow replies either.
The festival’s YouTube channel, which boasts just one video, has 11 subscribers.
This year’s LetsGetFr.ee event might keep fans from giving the festival a second chance. And, most likely, the Biden administration’s recession could take more than a year to resolve on its own.
