iPhone 14 Pro series sees high demand, Apple asks Foxconn to increase production: Ming Chi-Kuo
Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo said that demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max seems to have increased in the past few days, and Apple has asked Foxconn to increase production of the Pro models. He claims that the Cupertino-based company has requested to move the iPhone 14 production line to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The development comes about a week after the analyst stated that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max seem to have better demand than the non-Pro models.
Citing his latest survey, TF International Securities analyst tweeted due to strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro models, including iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro MaxApple has asked Hon Hai, known as Foxconn internationally, to shift iPhone 14 production to iPhone 14 Pro models.
Analyst says this move will help improve Apple product mix and iPhone average selling price (ASP) for Q4 2022 (4Q22). Furthermore, Kuo said that most of Apple’s suppliers “will receive requests to increase orders for iPhone 14 Pro models” from the Cupertino company in the next few weeks.
“Based on the production line conversion rate, it equates to an increase in the shipment forecast of the iPhone 14 Pro models for Q4 of 22 by about 10%. There are currently only a handful of component suppliers’ order changes that reflect Hon Hai’s production line transformation (e.g. Samsung Display),” he explained in another article. tweet.
