In fact, ‘big’ is the key word here, as multiple sources suggest we’ll see a larger iPad in 2023 than the current iPad Pro 12.9 – although it’s likely Apple will continue to manufacture the devices. sample with current size.

iPad Pro 2023 price and release date
The next iPad Pro could land sooner than you expect, as while the iPad Pro 2022 series only launches in October 2022, we could see a new model as early as 2023.
That’s according to Ross Young (opens in a new tab) – a leaker with a solid track record – who says that Apple’s next Pro vehicle will feature a 14.1-inch display – larger than any current model. Even so, introducing a new screen size is the only way that we can imagine that Apple will launch the next iPad Pro soon; so even though it’s possible, we wouldn’t count on it.
Recently, we have heard that a 16 inches iPad (may or may not be a Pro model) could land at the end of 2023although it’s unclear if this is the same or instead of the rumored 14.1-inch version.
It is also entirely possible that both of these leaks are incorrect. In fact, we probably won’t see a new iPad Pro in 2023, as it’s been over a year since its April 2021 launch. iPad Pro 2021 and the iPad Pro 2022 launch event in October 2022.
As for the price, Apple could keep the same price as the current phone models, if the screen size stays the same. That means prices start around $799 / £899 / AU$1,399 for the 11-inch version and $1,099 / £1,249 / AU$1,899 for the 12.9-inch model, though that’s speculation for now. .
And of course, if these vehicles have larger screens, their asking prices will certainly be higher as well.
iPad Pro 2023 news, rumors and leaks
As noted above, one of the biggest changes coming to the 2023 iPad Pro could be the larger display. We did listen to talk 14.1 inch screen many times (opens in a new tab)while a 16 inch one have also been talked about and in other, less specific places talk about a bigger screen.
Whether both or just one of these will be made available is still unclear but it seems certain that a larger screen is coming soon, with the number of sources mentioning one.
Sources who mentioned a 14.1-inch model also tell more about it, between them claiming that it will have a mini LED display – like the latest 12.9-inch models – and that it will have an M2 chipset , which again matches the current pattern. Meanwhile, its base storage could be at 512GB and it could start with a whopping 16GB of RAM.
Those last two details are higher than the initial configuration of the current Pro models, but you can specify the factory models to match, if you have the extra money.
With the main change seemingly being the screen size, it’s likely that this isn’t a new generation of iPad Pro but an additional model to the current line.
The other big leak surrounding the future iPad Pro is switch to OLED screen. This is arguably better than the mini LED currently used by the iPad Pro 12.9, and certainly better than the IPS LCD display used by the iPad Pro 11.
That said, although we’ve heard many times that this change is imminent, the consensus seems to be won’t happen until 2024. That could mean we won’t see an OLED display on the next iPad Pro, but it’s also possible that the next iPad Pro won’t launch until 2024.
According to my sources, Apple will be testing a smaller version of macOS exclusively for the new iPad Pro M2! “Mendocino” should be the codename of macOS 14. A simplified version should be planned for the M2. pic.twitter.com/f4RrainlZ1October 20, 2022
Finally in leaky land right now, leaker Majin Bu (opens in a new tab) – a man of many achievements – has announced Apple is working on a “smaller” version of macOS for the latest iPad Pro models. This is likely to arrive as a software update with macOS 14 by the end of 2023, and will make the interface a lot more Mac-like, while still allowing vehicles to run iPad apps.
While we’ll take this with a pinch of salt, Apple has clearly been trying to bridge the gap between tablets and laptops for a while now, so it’s bound to happen and if it does. , we will definitely see this system in action on the next iPad Pro.
In addition to the leaks, we can also make some educated guesses about possible changes. For example, the next iPad Pro could use the unannounced M3 chipset, as that would be a step up from the current M2 SoC. Though that will depend on when the next models come out.
It’s likely Apple will also move the selfie camera to one of the long sides of the chart, as that makes it more useful in landscape orientation, which is how iPads tend to be positioned – especially for video call. The company actually did this with iPad 10.9 (2022)but not with the latest iPad Pro.
The problem it will have to deal with is the Apple Pencil charger, as it currently sits on the same edge that the camera wants and there’s probably no room for both. So we may have to see more extensive design changes to the iPad Pro to enable this transition.
