Delhi robbery: Seven people, including two women, arrested.

Robbers posing as Mumbai police stole tens of thousands of rupees from a company in Delhi last week. Seven people, including two women, have been arrested in connection with the case, claiming they were inspired by the Bollywood movie’Special 26‘, the police said.
One of the accused is Sanjay Manocha, chairman of the Nuh City Council in Haryana, who has disputed the support of the BJP and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), sources said.
Usha Rangarani, DCP, North West Delhi, said the robbery happened at a healthcare company run by Vijay Yadav in Netaji Subhas Place last Wednesday.
Four people, including a woman, arrived at his office around 12:30 PM and introduced themselves as Mumbai police, Mr. Yadav complained to the police. They were wearing what appeared to be Mumbai Police IDs.
They seized the mobile phones of the employees present and demanded Rs 20 lakh, police said. The complainant, with a gun, was asked to phone his wife and arrange money. Somehow, his wife arranged Rs 5.75 lakh and delivered it to one of the accused, a woman, who was waiting outside his office.
They also collected his bank and card details, police said.
The robbers left after five hours with cash, cell phones and other things, locking the employees inside the office.
Using CCTV footage, police identified one of the accused as Prashant Kumar Patil of Libaspur, and arrested him. Rs 2.5 lakh was recovered from him and upon interrogation he revealed that two women and five men were involved in the crime.
Based on his input, two women, Jyoti and Neha Kashyap – both Delhi residents, were arrested. Later, four other people – alias Zahid Guru Ji, Sanjay Manocha, Faisal, and Imran – were also arrested from different parts of Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Majid, another defendant, is on the run.
Defendants admitted during interrogation that they were inspired by ‘Special 26‘movie to plan robbery. Police said Zahid and Prashant were the main masterminds of the robbery, adding that a manhunt for Majid was underway.
In ‘Special 26‘, starring Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher, a group of crooks posing as CBI officers conduct fake raids and carry out robberies.
