Last weekend, Keke Palmer and Darius Daulton Jackson honor The awaited arrival of their first son together. The couple threw a ‘Once Upon a Time’ shower party, complete with themed props and decorations, activities, and more on the dance floor!
The parents-to-be were dressed to impress at Saturday’s event with family and friends. Keke shared five images of their look to her Insta feed with sweet captions highlighting the baby shower theme.
“Once upon a time, in a land not far away, the King and Queen played together. The play turns to love as many sunsets pass. Now a prince is coming,” Keke wrote.
As for conformity, Palmer wear a sleeveless, light brown, sweater-like dress paired with a simple layered necklace, bracelets, and square earrings. Her hair is styled into a high bun with a side-swept bang. The expectant mother chose knee-length boots to complete the look.
Meanwhile, Darius remains in the brown palette. He wears a dark brown jacket, light brown scarf, brown cap and checkered pants.
Inside Keke Palmer’s Baby Shower Theme
As mentioned, the theme of the event is ‘Once Upon a Time.’ Different areas of the location offer different fairy tale elements, from the huge storybook where Palmer sourced her Insta subtitles to areas and games featuring Disney characters.
The organizer of the event, Stephanie Terblanche, decorated a long hallway with tall white tree branches surrounded by large candles on the floor. One area appears to be ‘Bambi’s Winter Wonderland’ and features white, yellow and light blue decorations, including balloons and flowers. Another area titled ‘The Lion King Room’.
There are snacks like cotton candy and Japanese-style shaved ice in flavor options like “Kakigori matcha, pineapple coconut and strawberry kakigori.”
In other areas, guests have the opportunity to perform custom body scrubs, throw stuff at diaper walls, customize baby blocks, or race to diaper Disney stuffed animals.
Keke shared a video of the event. In the footnote, she wrote, in part:
“It was the connection between Chicago, Jersey and Cali, a night I will never forget. I’m really happy for the family and the baby shower for me and @dvulton more than anything congrats to the people we love for taking us this far!!! We know they will be very good to our son. I wish I took more pictures!! Everyone did such a wonderful job.
Aside from the detailed decorations, Keke and her friends kept the dance floor hot! The first-time mom even downplays it in a moment of pure fun and entertainment.

Just a few days before Keke, Darius and the guests celebrated the baby shower, she revealed they are expecting a boy. Keke shared the news during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight’s Program. The actress hinted that the child’s zodiac sign could be Pieces or Aries, meaning the boy could be born between late February and April.
She is the first pregnancy reveal in her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live in December.
