Inscryption’s free Kaycee’s Mod Roguelike expansion is complete and available now
Last December, creator Daniel Mullens announced a beta for a small expansion for Inscryption, the builder of his popular deck, called Kaycee’s Mod. This mode will allow players to indefinitely replay the cabin portion of the game in roguelike fashion, but accessing it requires the player (intentionally) to jump through a number of hoops. After months of tweaking, Kaycee’s Mod is complete and ready to go.
Now that Kaycee’s Mod is fully unlocked, players will get it via a free update on Steam. The expansion does not appear to be accessible if you own Inscryption through the Epic Store, Humble, or GOG. This mode helps you fight Leshy in increasingly difficult levels. Applying skull to run modifies its conditions, and conquering levels unlocks new cards and additional challenges. For fans of Inscryption’s story, the mod also unlocks the developer’s diary written by Kaycee Hobbes to document her discoveries about the disc’s secrets.
To mark the event, Inscyrption is currently 30% off, which is a nice bargain for one of the best game of 2021. For more on Inscryption, be sure to check out our reviewthen find out if there are multiple rank twists among our favorite moments of this generation.
