INS Satpura showcases her prowess during ‘Exercise Kakadu’ in Australia | India News


NEW DELHI: India’s domestically designed and built naval vessel INS Satpura demonstrated its strength in the ongoing multinational process Kakadu Exercises-2022hosted by Royal Australian Navy.
INS Satpura and P-8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft arrived in Darwin in Australia on September 12 to participate in the exercise, Department of Defense here said before.

The Indian Navy said that participation in Exercise Kakadu-2022 is aimed at “enhancing mutual understanding and interoperability at sea between navies of friendly countries”.
INS Satpura is a 6,000-ton guided missile stealth frigate designed and built domestically.
The ship is the flagship unit of the Navy’s Eastern Fleet, based in Visakhapatnam, and is currently one of the longest deployments by the Indian Navy during the Year of Independence, officials said. 75 of India, officials said.
