Infosys Employee Bonus: How much will the best IT employees get this month
Infosys employee bonus: Narayana Murthy’s Infosys revealed that eligible employees will get 85% performance bonus in Q2 FY25, ending September. Expected bonus will be spent along with November salaries, which will vary based on each employee’s performance and contributions during the quarter.
Focus on mid-level and junior-level employees
Performance bonuses are primarily aimed at mid- and junior-level employees, especially those in delivery and sales roles. These employees make up a significant portion of the information system‘ workforce, currently at 3.15 lakh. The company announced bonus details via email to eligible employees.
In the email, Infosys praised the dedication of its employees, saying: “In Q2, we delivered strong operating results with broad growth, solidifying our market leadership position.” . This success is a testament to your unwavering dedication, our strategic focus on profit performance and our industry-leading expertise in Cloud and innovative AI.” The message further emphasizes the important role employees play in driving company performance and delivering exceptional value to customers.
The bonus was paid following Infosys’ solid financial performance. The company reported a 4.7% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching $6,506 crore, while revenue increased by 5.1%. $40,986 billion VND. These results were driven by strong demand for financial services and a number of high-value contracts. Infosys also raised its revenue growth forecast for fiscal 2025 to about 3.75% to 4.5%.

Bonuses outperform competitors
This bonus announcement marks an improvement over previous payouts. In Q1 FY25, Infosys employees received an 80% bonus and in Q4 FY24, the payout was 60%. The 85% bonus is significantly higher than the average bonus of some competitors, such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is said to have offered bonuses of 50% to 60%.
Unlike TCS, which is said to have tied its bonuses to office attendance, Infosys’s bonus structure is independent of its hybrid working model. According to an Infosys employee, the company’s matching policy requires employees to work on-site at least 10 days a month, but this does not affect bonus eligibility.
Selective salary increases will begin in January 2025
Looking ahead, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh announced that selective salary increases will begin in January 2025 and are expected to roll out companywide in April 2025. This comes after the suspension of salary increases in FY22 and the delayed review cycle in FY24, marking the return of normal pay adjustments for employees across the company.
