Infarcer Games: Geoff Keighley Learn TikTok Dance for Heartfelt Summer Games Festival Performance

Geoff Keighley, host and creator of The Game Awards and G4TV.com, invited the Game Infarcer team to his Los Angeles apartment for an exclusive, early look at the Summer Game Fest production. this year.

Keighley – famous for longtime admiration of game designer Hideo Kojima, longtime fan of actor Norman Reedus, longtime motor aficionado – started reading from a small telemeter located in the centerpiece of his living room.

“We are really excited about this year’s SGF. This event will be live for the first time and we have prepared a great performance to celebrate,” said Keighley. In addition to exclusive revelations and updates on fan-favorite games, attendees can expect a Gillette-themed soft-cookie food truck and a black-tie mixer powered by Raid: Shadow Legends presented. “But that’s not all we have in store for you,” the host tells us excitedly.

For the first time in the show’s 24-month history, Geoff Keighley himself will take the stage to perform a heartfelt dance set to “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

“It’s hard to keep this under wraps for a long time,” he explains. “Besides working with dozens of suppliers, sponsors, and the entire cast of Fast & Furious 9, I had to watch a lot of how-to videos on TikTok. Needless to say, I’m very proud of the team for keeping this a secret until now. Unaware that we were already friends on the popular social media app, Keighley briefly explained the TikTok concept to me, likening it to “if Instagram had a baby with Just Dance.”

When he started his routine, it became clear that the popular presenter had watched quite a few tutorials. Keighley swayed gracefully, his arms and hips swinging together, his feet swinging back and forth in a style reminiscent of the dance scene in The Last of Us Part II. Realizing that he’d messed up the previous part, Geoff gently reassured us, “I’m still tightening this part.” As the song reached its climax, Keighley’s performance intensified as he broadened his stance and began to push in a way that can only be described as visceral. Unfortunately, we cannot specify further due to the Non-Disclosure Agreement.

The living room’s RGB lights dimmed as we started going out. “Hey, if all goes well, maybe you’ll see me in the Dancing With The Stars sequel,” Keighley concluded jokingly.

(Editor’s Note: After further clarification from Summer Game Fest’s public relations agency, our subject’s final comment was more sincere than we initially thought.)
