NEW DELHI: One Dark blue Delhi-Chennai flight has returned safely Indira Gandhi International Airport within an hour of takeoff on a Saturday night after a engine error.
The plane, an Airbus A321neo, took off at 9:46 p.m. 6E-2789 with more than 230 people on board. Moments later, the plane was reported as having engine failure. The twin-engine jet was able to land safely on one engine and this one did so by heading back to Delhi, where it made a safe emergency landing at 10:39pm.
