Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny: First trailer revealed as Harrison Ford returns for fifth film | Ents & Arts News
The first trailer has been released for the new Indiana Jones movie – with the title now revealed to be The Dial Of Destiny.
Harrison Ford returns at the age of 80 as the famous archaeologist, more than 40 years after first playing the character.
Chase scenes, Nazi villains, a giant rolling rock and Ford galloping through New York City are all in the clip.
IndiaSallah’s friend, played by Welsh actor John Rhys-Davies, is also back.
He was once heard saying to the explorer: “I miss the sea. I remember waking up every morning wondering what great adventure the new day will bring us.”
Ford’s character recalls: “I don’t believe in magic, but a few times in my life I’ve seen things, things that I can’t explain.
“And I’ve come to believe that it’s not how much you believe, but how hard you believe it.”
The actor ‘aged’ in many scenes and looked the same way he appeared in the previous films.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge also appears in the trailer as his goddaughter, while Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas are the other big names involved.
The Dial Of Destiny will be released on June 30 and is directed by James Mangold, the filmmaker behind the Le Mans 66 biopic, Logan and Johnny Cash Walk The Line.
Indiana Jones, along with Han Solo, are two roles that have defined Ford’s career – and fans will be hoping for a better movie than the previous reboot.
Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008) is considered by many to be a disappointment despite being directed by Steven Spielberg, who made the original trilogy.
