Samsung phone users in India are at high risk
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has now issued a warning to Samsung phone users in India. According to CERT-In, a vulnerability has been reported in Samsung’s mobile processors and Wearable processors that could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code and escalate privileges on targeted devices. . Samsung processors affected by this vulnerability include Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850 and W920.
According to CERT-In, this vulnerability exists in Samsung mobile processors due to a Use-After-Free error that leads to privilege escalation. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code and escalate privileges on the targeted devices.
