India, France kick off air combat drill at Jodhpur | India News

JODHPUR: India on Friday started air combat exercise ‘Garuda’ with France in Jodhpur. The seventh edition of the exercise, which will continue until November 12, “will provide a platform for IAF and French Air and Space Forces to enhance operational capacity and interoperability,” said an IAF spokesperson.
France has deployed four Rafale fighter jets and an A-330 multirole tanker with a staff of 220. IAF is engaged with Rafale, Sukhoi-30MKI, Tejas and Jaguar jets as well as the new indigenous Mi-17 and Prachanda light combat helicopters.
“The IAF team will also include combat support assets such as flight refueling aircraft and airborne early warning and control aircraft such as AWACS and AEW&C,” Moghe speak.
