Not surprisingly, SamSmith30 stole the show with them efficiency of “Unholy” next door Kim Petras in the 65th annual Grammy Awards on February 5th! Earlier in the evening, on the red carpet, non-binary the singer/songwriter rocked a monochrome red dress, featuring a headpiece, lace eye patch, laced cane, and rubber gloves. Sam didn’t just come Red carpet in an extremely dramatic outfit, but they also appeared with an entourage that included singer Kim Petras and drag queens purple chachkiAnd Gottmik. Kim almost matched Sam’s outfit with a small red evening gown, red veil, striking necklace and red heels.
Before the performance of “Unholy” at the Grammy, Sam and singer “Coconuts” had a spectacular performance Saturday Night Live efficiency in January of the same track. During the couple time SNL perform, they performed the remarkable track, one of Sam’s songs from their latest album, GLORIA. Sam and Kim not only performed the song, they also won awards nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance! Other artists nominated for that award include Coldplay + BTS (“My Universe”), ABBA (“Don’t Shut Down Me”), camila cabello with Ed Sheeran (“Bam Bam”), and Post Malone with Cat Doja (“I Like You (A Happier Song)”).
Over a week before Sam took the stage at the Grammy Awards, they released their fourth studio album, GLORIAon January 27. The talented artist has Instagram on October 17, 2022, to announce the record and share a special message with their fans. “Dear Sailors, I am very pleased to announce that my fourth album is called ‘GLORIA’. It will be yours on January 27, 2023 and you can pre-order it now,” their caption began. “I felt overwhelmed and emotional when I started to let go Gloria and hand this job over to you. It’s been magical in every way to make this track and by giving this record to you, I’m giving you a piece of my heart and soul. Gloria has helped me through the dark times and has been a beacon for me in life. I hope it can be that for you. Thank you for waiting so long.”
Although Sam was only nominated for one award during the February 5 ceremony, they have a total of four wins under their belt already! During the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in 2015, their song “Stay with Me” won not only Song of the Year but also Record of the Year. Sam’s other two wins are Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album for Album In Lonely Hour. They were also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for the song “Stay with Me” (Darkchild Version) and Album of the Year for In Lonely Hour.
