David Benavidez said he won’t merely beat Caleb Plant in their 168-pound pay-per-view match Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He insisted that he would hurt his opponent.
“I’m going to break Caleb’s jaw on Saturday night, in the sixth round,” Benavidez said.
Hype? A part. Benavidez wants to sell the fight and get the skin of Plant, who he seems to really dislike. However, you can bet that he really meant to harm Plant.
Benavidez (26-0, 23 KOs) claimed that he hurt everyone he fought with. He may be right. And he thinks he’s better than ever.
