Identity Thieves Crack Major Experian Vulnerability, Access Customers’ Credit Reports



The website of consumer credit reporting giant Experian has a major security hole that allows hackers to get hold of customers’ credit reports and all it takes is a little identity data (opens in a new tab)and a little tweak to the address displayed in the URL bar, experts have revealed.

Cybersecurity researcher Jenya Kushnir discovered the vulnerability on Telegram, after observing hackers selling stolen reports and working with KrebsOnSecurity (opens in a new tab) to investigate it further.
