“Annie was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2020. She is a private person by nature and the diagnosis made her that way. She wants to protect her sons,” the message on the GoFundMe page reads, with the aim of raising money for her husband and sons. “She wants to get well so she can continue working. And honestly, she doesn’t really want to talk about it. She wants to live her life, on her terms and with her family,” the letter also read.

“Annie lives for her family. She loves her job and cherishes her friends, but Steve and her boys are everything to her. This Go Fund Me is for them. That’s how Steve can have time to grieve without the pressure to work. So he can be a dad to Freddie (12 years old), Ozzie (9 years old) and Archie (4) as they navigate their future without mom, without sweet Annie,” the message continued.

“It’s so they can keep going to baseball games (Go Cardinals!), learning music and playing the minor league. It’s to help pay for college. That’s how Steve was able to continue Annie’s tradition of filling the house with every car-sized life-sized balloon on birthday mornings. It’s to give them time to navigate life as a family of four without the burden of paying medical bills or funeral expenses. It’s so they can continue to live life in a way that they know will make Annie proud,” it also wrote.
