‘I will fight the Hulk’

Chris Eubank Jr is not ready to forgive Conor Benn for his positive doping test results before their now-cancelled match.
Since the decision was made in October – just a few days before the event – Benn has maintained his innocence and has tried to prove this to the powers, namely the World Boxing Council and the Boxing Control Board.
While awaiting the conclusion of at least one of his investigations, the undefeated heavyweight took to social media to praise the science he believes will shed light on his name.
“Got through hell and back. Thank god for the science. Proof doesn’t lie. There is no hole in the truth.”
Eubank Jr caught that and couldn’t help but respond, pointing out that science is what caught the drug in the first place.
“I’m pretty sure it was science that discovered illegal substances in your system on two separate occasions Conor. So yeah, totally thank god for the science… otherwise I would have fought the hulk a few months ago!!”
If Benn is looking for sympathy from his peers, he is unlikely to find anything from Eubank’s camp.
The boxer from Brighton has moved on and geared up for another exciting clash in the country – Liam Smith in Manchester.
Eubank went into the match with typical confidence and has said he is ready to reschedule the match against Benn at the end of the year if the defendant is vindicated.
However, he is adamant that he holds all the cards this time around. Much of it was made up of the agreed 157 lb catch for the first round and how detrimental and even dangerous it was for Eubank.
The 33-year-old has said uncertainly that there will be no such clause should they face in the future.and that Benn can gain weight.
