“I can’t control my violence”

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is considered by many to be one of the scariest boxers to ever live.
Tyson won his first 19 fights by KO before becoming the youngest heavyweight champion ever at age 20 with a devastating performance against Trevor Berbick in 1986.

The violence that served him so well during his boxing career has now become his biggest fear.
On his latest episode Hotboxin podcastTyson became emotional as he detailed his daily struggles:
“I was so scared that I was violent and could not control my violent behavior. I’m scared”
Once nicknamed ‘The Ugliest Man on the Planet’, the 57-year-old revealed his natural instinct in life is to be belligerent:
“Does that mean anything to you? Me, Mike Tyson and I are so scared of everything.”
“All I know to do is attack, I feel.”
“They can never believe that I hate myself.”
His therapist, Sean McFarland, who helped Tyson with his problems added:
“You can pay him [Tyson] a compliment and he will want to kill you for it. “
“Sometimes it hurts to feel that intimacy, to feel that love, to feel that care. He just wanted to be left alone.”
