Hyundai Nios facelift price details, new features, engines, variants



The Grand i10 Nios has a refreshed design but continues with a 1.2-litre petrol engine; also have factory equipped CNG.

hyundai announced the price of the facelifted Grand i10 Nios. The introductory price for the hatchback now starts at Rs 5.69 lakh for the base version Era (old showroom). Pre-orders for the Grand i10 Nios facelift were opened earlier this month with a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift: outstanding exterior and interior

The facelifted Grand i10 Nios now features a new front bumper housing an enlarged black grille flanked by new three-arrow LED daytime running lights and side air intakes. Along with new 15-inch alloy wheels, the hatchback also gets new LED taillights connected by a light bar. Hyundai is now offering the new Spark Green color alongside Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue and Fiery Red color options.

Inside, the hatchback’s cabin layout remains the same but now comes with new gray upholstery for the seats, adjustable instrument cluster and footrest lights.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift: powertrain details

The facelifted Grand i10 Nios remains mechanically unchanged and is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the old car. This unit produces 83 hp and 113.8 Nm when paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT transmission. In addition, the hatchback is also equipped with a factory-made CNG kit with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 69 horsepower and 95.2 Nm of torque. This is only offered with a 5-speed gearbox. However, the upgraded hatchback is no longer equipped with the 1.0 liter, 100 hp, 172 Nm turbocharged petrol engine from the old model as it is now discontinued.

Hyundai claims fuel efficiency of 20.7kpl for the petrol-MT versions while the petrol-AMT returns 20.1kpl. Meanwhile, the CNG variants deliver a fuel efficiency of 27.3kpl. Hyundai also says the powertrain on the Nios is now compliant with the upcoming RDE standards.

The facelifted Grand i10 Nios is being offered in four versions – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta – and has a host of new features compared to the old model. These include an updated safety kit in the form of four airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard. In addition, the most advanced version has six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, ESC, hill hold assist and automatic headlights.

When it comes to convenience features, the hatchback retains an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger. Meanwhile, the most advanced versions also receive new features such as USB Type-C port, cruise control and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift: rival

The facelifted Grand i10 Nios competes with other hatchbacks like tata tiago (5.45 lakh-7.90 lakh), Suzuki Swift (5.92 Rs lakh-8.71 lakh) and Maruti Suzuki Ignis (5.55 Rs lakh-7.87 lakh) in the market.
