Hyundai aims to be the leader in connected cars

Hyundai Motor (OTCPK: HYMLF) announced on Wednesday, a new global strategy to convert all vehicles to what it calls software-defined vehicles by 2025.

Hyundai initiative to usher in the era mobility and gives customers the freedom to remotely upgrade their vehicle’s performance and functionality anywhere at any time.

The push to software and mobility is expected to ensure that Hyundai Motor models, including those purchased, remain up to date. Over-the-air software upgrades will cover vehicle functions – including safety, convenience, connectivity, security and driving performance.

Hyundai (OTCPK: HYMLF) is expected to have 20 million vehicles registered with its connected car service worldwide by 2025. Going forward, connected car data will be used by a network mobility solutions, including with Purpose Built Vehicles, Advanced Aerial Mobility, robotics and robotics.
