Hundreds of animals have died in Kenya’s wildlife reserves during the worst drought in East Africa in decades, according to a report.
The Kenya Wildlife Service has recorded the deaths of 205 elephants, 512 wildebeest, 381 common zebras, 51 buffaloes, 49 Grevy zebras and 12 endangered giraffes. strains within the past 9 months.
It comes after four consecutive seasons of drought in parts of Kenya over the past two years has caused heavy losses to people, animals and livestock.

For Grevy’s zebra, experts recommend increasing the supply of hay.
