How was Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa allowed to return to Bills game?
The NFLPA wanted a closer look at how Tua Tagovailoa returned to the game Sunday after wobbling like Glass Joe and having to come off the field after heading the field in the first half of Miami’s 21-19 win over Buffalo.
The story of Tua and the Dolphin is that his back actually constricted after his impact on the ground, not that he was dizzy, falling into the “dying” level of covering his butt.
But the point is, that’s how Tua wants it:
“But I mean, any opponent who never wants to play will do the same thing.”

And this is the war. The players want to play, the team wants him to play, and there are few who can stand in the way if that’s what both of them want. We always hear rules put in place to protect players from themselves, and it’s true. But there’s only so much you can do against someone’s will. At this point, the players are already aware of the risks and consequences, or have done a lot of things they shouldn’t.
You’d think that once someone is tripping over like Tua, there’s not even a need to check. He just automatically withdraws from the game and the check can wait for Monday or Tuesday. However, the players continued to find their way back to the field.
So what do players really want? What do they want their union to do? Because it looks like they want to keep playing.
