So, what could these new products be? Samsung just launched an excellent product Galaxy S22 early this year – and officially discontinued the Galaxy Note line in the process – so our best guess is a new foldable phone. In fact, the Galaxy Unpacked event invites all but confirms it.
The company has launched Galaxy Z Fold 3 (phone that can be folded into a tablet) and Galaxy Z Flip 3 (a compact flip phone), both of which make foldable phones a more affordable investment thanks to their smart designs and relatively affordable prices. These phones have plenty of room for improvement – the software experience could be better on both, and the Z Fold 3 in particular is still pricey – so we’re excited to see a Z Flip 4, Z Fold is even more refined than 4 or something completely new.
SAMSUNG there was a large amount of Galaxy Buds in its audio lineup, but some older models will be refreshed. The infamous bean shape Galaxy Buds Live It’s now almost two years old, and it’s likely Samsung is creating a new, possibly wilder-looking set of buds to round out the bottom end of things for a more affordable price. The Galaxy Buds Pro (one of us best wireless headphones option) is also having a bit of a stretch and we could see Samsung unveil a new high-end model to go head-to-head with recent rivals like Sony LinkBuds WILL and Beats Fit Pro.
The Galaxy Watch 4 won our best Android smartwatch spot last year, offering a much-improved Wear OS experience and some great fitness tracking capabilities. We’ve found some aspects of the Watch 4’s software to be a bit lacking, so here’s hoping some of them will be addressed when the Galaxy Watch 5 launches.
We will know for sure what will happen when Galaxy Unpacked to launch on August 10 at 9 a.m. ET on Samsung’s website. As always, we’ll be covering all the major product announcements from the show as they happen, and will be putting all of Samsung’s new products through their paces as soon as we get our hands on them. .
