How to make Homestyle Konkani Fish Curry – Delicious dish you must try (Recipe Inside)

This fish curry not only creates a rich flavor but also makes for a nutritious meal.

Chef Guntas took to her Instagram to share the recipe, and wrote along with it: “At home we make this Konkani-style fish curry almost every weekend. It’s a nutritious family meal and Hearty with full of flavor and my dad’s favorite!” Let’s see the formula:

Homestyle Konkani Fish Curry Recipe: How To Make Homestyle Fish Curry Konkani

Element:

  • 7-8 Kashmiri red peppers
  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons coriander leaves
  • 1/2 chopped coconut
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon jeera
  • 3 slices of red green chili
  • A handful of curry leaves
  • 1 small onion
  • 3-4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper powder seasoning to taste
  • Fish block 500gms
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Ginger garlic (on request)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 4-5 Kokum
  • Coriander leaves (for garnish)

Method:

  • Soak 7-8 Kashmiri red peppers, 8-10 garlic cloves and 2 teaspoons coriander seeds for 1/2 hour.
  • Drain & blitz in a mixer with 1/2 chopped coconut and 1 tomato.
  • Strain it, then add more water to the pulp and beat it again and filter it. This ensures that you get maximum curry juice to work with.
  • In a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil, 1 tbsp of jeera, 3 sliced ​​green chillies, a handful of curry leaves and saute.
  • Add 1 finely chopped onion and 3-4 minced garlic cloves. Fry until brown.
  • Add previously made masala. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, salt & red pepper to taste. Reduce heat to medium-low, stirring constantly for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, marinate 500 grams of fish with turmeric, salt, ginger-garlic and 1/2 lemon for 15-20 minutes.
  • When the curry is almost done, add the fish and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder & 4-5 Kokum. Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with warm rice.
