I can’t sleep without White noise. When I got home, that noise was coming from a Dyson fan. The constant and gentle hiss of that fan was the perfect acoustical scene to help the flight of angels sing me to sleep.

But when I travel (or nap outside of my bedroom), I don’t take that fan with me, and without that white noise, it would be impossible to sleep (not even as far as Brooklyn). ). What’s to do?

Well, if you happen to have one Android phonethere’s a built-in tool ready to help with your bedtime.

Let me show you how to use this handy feature.

The only thing you need is an Android phone. This feature was added around Android 10, which most (and new) phones support. That’s it. Let’s go there.

The Sleep Sound feature is located in the Android Clock app. Open that app from the App Drawer.

In the bottom right corner of the Clock app, you’ll see Bedtime. Tap it to open the Bedtime page.

Once you’ve selected your sound, exit the Sleep Sounds window.
