How Pakistan floods are linked to climate change


As the world warms, the ice is melting. Glaciers in the Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions of Pakistan are melting rapidly, creating more than 3,000 lakes, the United Nations Development Program told BBC News. About 33 of these are at risk of sudden rupture, which could release millions of cubic meters of water and debris, putting 7 million people at risk.
