If Eubank Jr’s was serious about spending only 60% of his energy on preparing for Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) that would put him in a predicament where he could lose. Benn is too good a fighter to be defeated by 60% Eubank Jr.
Eubank Jr, 33, has performed well in his last two games, beating Liam Williams and Wanik Awdijan. None of those guys can punch like Conor Benn.
The last boxer Eubank Jr fought with similar strength to Benn was George Groves, and he lost to him by a 12-round unanimous decision in 2018.

“My father is currently working as a business consultant with me. His advice is to wait another year. I’m not willing to risk that. We both have a lot of stuff on the line. I have more pressure and risk.
“I cannot lose this war. If I lose, I retire. It was a huge burden on my shoulders. I can’t come back after a loss. I’ve had to go through too much in this sport letting a puppy step up and take what’s mine, and what’s mine is winning.
“I can’t lose,” Benn said.
