How much help did Chiefs get from officials against the Bengals?

It’s unlikely that Sunday’s game duo will end without a bit of controversy. It only how the NFL works. In high-pressure situations, errors in the rule system set out by the tournament will be revealed, causing every action to lead to dreamlike consequences. The NFL got off to an easy start to the afternoon’s NFC clashthanks 49ers without midfielders capable of throwing the ball continuously for more than 10 yards. It’s not so lucky in the nightcap.

For the majority of Bengals players, the dreams of attending a second consecutive Super Bowl will only be on their minds, no matter how shaken the game. As a neutral fan, it’s easy to see why Cincinnati will have a hard time swallowing this loss. And it has nothing to do with the extraordinary effort of Patrick Mahomes, need to be recognized. The difficulty in digesting this AFC Championship loss came mainly from the zebras. And the way for the Leaders to be favored in the federation office, and communicated to the officials, is not difficult to envision. Kansas City is one of the model franchises in the NFL with one of the game’s biggest stars at the center. The Chiefs’ fan base has weathered the cold weather (I lived in Missouri for four years – Ibad) to see his team play its last home game until September.

It wasn’t the Joseph Ossai’s punishment that mattered

Let’s make one thing clear before continuing. Bengals defensive midfielder Joseph Ossai played a phenomenal game in the first 59 minutes in Kansas City. And Cincinnati’s Last Defensive Match Called 100 Percent precisely by officials. There is no scrum on the road worthy of the play being called back to hold. It should have been a penalty on Ossai’s personal fault for needlessly rough behaviour, it was clear as day. Mahomes got out with both feet and was shoved down. That’s the easiest 15 yards most of these referees will tax on defense.

There’s a yellow flag flying behind the road The entire fourth quartile must have felt like having the last tooth pulled after the rest of your chicks have been plucked. No anesthesia required. Instead of trying to focus on any on hold calls before Ossai nearly shoves Mahomes into a metal chair, focus your attention on jamming calls pass ticky-tack on Mike Hilton with five minutes to go. That race led to a race in Kansas City, but precious time has turned off the clock. Failure to call it correctly would give Cincinnati about two extra minutes, which is a millennium in a game of this caliber. The intentional base call to Joe Burrow about ownership of the Bengals’ final strike was accurate, only horribly directly interpreted by officials. And CBS went to great lengths to clean up the mess it was airing. The ball does not reach the goal line even though it lands at Samaje Perine’s feet.

The chiefs have an important secondOther opportunities

And then there’s the Captains remake which was filmed globally on the 3rd and 9th. Are the rules of the game technically followed? Sure. Are the minor adjustments that officials deem necessary? No, that’s why the aborted turn and the after-done turn look eerily similar. Critical thinking was needed from the crew of Ron Tolbert at the time, and we get none of it. The call came late and the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium was so loud that those whistles mattered. Mistakes happen, and that’s understandable, but not such big mistakes. If such changes to the play were so important, why were they not recognized and instituted earlier? If players need to be at their best with an online Super Bowl bet, so should the officials. It was an unacceptable mistake all around and it only fanned the flames that the fix was for the Captain to win this game.

At least the WWE Honest about predetermined outcomes. We had Travis Kelce give us a big hint about the NFL needing to deny the Super Bowl return trip to Cincinnati at the trophy ceremony. He cited one of The Rock’s most famous quotes to criticize Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval, who last week declared Sunday to be “The day they have to play with us,” and included in the statement a joke about Burrow taking a paternity test to see if he was Mahomes. father, pointing to the Bengals’ recent trio of victories over the Captains. also this no call into Kansas City defensive quarterback Frank Clark for a late hit and no blocking in the back flagged on Skyy Moore’s 29-yard pitch that set the winning goal of the game.

As the NFL trains its next generation of officials, I’ll be watching Sunday’s Chiefs-Bengals game as a must-see, teaching incoming officials what do not do. I’m sure the league wants the second big day of the season to be pristine and showcase its products as a premium sports brand. While Mahomes, Burrow, and the company did their part, the officials didn’t. Worthy Leaders play in the Super Bowl, despite Mahomes’ ankle. They didn’t need the help of a referee to get to Arizona. Without a doubt, Cincinnati was in trouble along the way.
